I punched my father in law this afternoon. Hit him right on the jaw. He was asking for it and I felt I had no choice but to punch him.

My mother in-law will be riding to Dana Farber this afternoon. Hopefully the Drs there will have some sort of treatment that offers some hope. Otherwise the diagnosis of stage IV NSC lung cancer is not good.

I don't regularly post diaries here but I need a place to release. It's been tremendously helpful reading some of the recent husi diaries. In short my mother in law has gone from feeling a little worn down at Thanksgiving to "a couple of spots on her lung xrays" just before Christmas to admitted to the hospital today to prep for surgery on her spine to prevent the tumor there from paralyzing her.

This time we weren't going to bother snowmobiling to La Casa de Fiesta. It was too much of a problem to find the trail, and everyone had to stay sober for the ride home. Sure last year when we took our sleds it was cool, there certainly was the novelty factor to consider, but it had worn off, and now we were just a bunch of guys concentrating on speeding across the snow and watching naked women at night. Speed and Sex, two of men's strongest urges combine in the frozen Maine woods.
Besides it was sure to be safer driving to Millinocket at night than snowmobiling. Or so we thought.

It was finally winter again, and I was itching to ride. Snow had fallen in Clinton MA, but I was looking to avoid being held at gun point by the police again this year so I held off for now. My first trip to Maine was coming up soon. The snowmobiling could wait until then.

That went better than expected. I never even really shifted in high gear on the job search front, but I think I made the right choice.

Anyone know of places hiring hiring design verification engineers with 10+ years experience in microprocessor DV in the greater Boston area?
In other words the bastards did it.
